Job Overview
We are seeking a full-time permanent staff member to actively contribute to our specials team, providing daily instrumental instruction to students across our three buildings. This position provides instruction to students and performs a wide variety of tasks with curriculum planning, supervision, presenting and reinforcing learning concepts, and teaching children in a classroom setting.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans, ensuring that educational programs meet high standards of quality.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance curriculum development, lesson planning, and tutoring services.
- Conduct regular assessments of program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments based on feedback.
- Manage relationships with students and ensure that the relationships amongst the students are positive and supportive.
- Monitor and establish routines and procedures for the smooth operation of the classroom and efficient use of time.
- Seek ways to self-improve and contribute to the life of the school by participating in duties that involve the entire school and/or district.
- Maintain the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students and personnel as is expected of all staff.
- Engage with the community to promote educational initiatives and partnerships.
Qualifications
- Teaching certificate for the particular position as required by the State.
- Must be familiar with the use of computers including but not limited to electronic mail, the Internet, word processing, and electronic spreadsheets (Microsoft Office).
- Establish and maintain effective and courteous working relationships with those contacted in the course of work (students, parents, and staff).
- Ability to understand and follow basic oral and written instructions.
- Ability to communicate to students, parents and staff in an acceptable/courteous manner
