The opportunity
This role serves as the Teva Medical’s liaison with the patient advocacy community in assigned therapeutic areas, which currently includes Movement Disorders and Mental Health Conditions. This role is responsible to build meaningful, long-term relationships with advocacy groups on a state and regional level to raise awareness, provide education, and support patient advocacy goals in alignment with Teva Medical’s objectives.
Location: This is a remote/field-based opportunity. Candidates must be based in the United States. The ideal candidate will be located in the Northeastern United States or Washington DC area.
Travel Requirements: This role requires 35-40% travel annually on average, including some weekends. During busy seasons, up to 60% travel may be required.

How You’ll Spend Your Day
- Lead relationship development and bi-directional communications with patient advocacy groups to ensure productive ongoing partnerships based on shared patient-focused objectives including disease awareness, community education, and research opportunities.
- Mobilize patient advocacy groups to reach their own communities with education and research opportunities in mutually beneficial areas of interest.
- Ensure collaboration with internal partners, including but not limited to global development, global medical, medical, brand, market access, government affairs/health policy to optimally manage relationship to ensure strategic alignment.
- Create and maintain therapeutic area tailored operational engagement activities and resources that may include but are not limited to disease awareness and community education.
- Administration fulfillment through various Teva processes with 100% completion on time.
- Strategically manage budget. Ensure grant and fee for service administration passes through compliant internal review.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, non-profit industry, or other relevant professional experience. Pharmaceutical industry experience strongly desired.
- Minimum 3 years of patient advocacy, policy, government affairs, patient education/engagement or similar experience.
- 10 years of pharmaceutical industry, non-profit industry, or other relevant professional experience preferred
- 5 years of patient advocacy, policy, government affairs, patient education/engagement or similar experience preferred
- Emotional intelligence, empathy for people living with illness, families, and care partners.
- Background in compliantly engaging with people living with illness and care partners in a highly regulated position/industry.
- History of relationship building and management in a healthcare business setting.
- Proven ability to demonstrate leadership skills and track record of developing impactful strategies in partnership with others, internally and externally.
