The opportunity
Teva's R&D Global Early Clinical Development is hiring a TPM TA Head for Immunology and Immuno-oncology. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing Translational & Precision Medicine (TPM) strategies to enhance the success of our Immunology and Immuno-oncology Therapeutic Area (TA) drug development programs. The leader will manage a team of physicians and scientists, oversee generation of scientific evidence and insights, drive testing of clinical biomarkers, and lead deployment of experimental clinical development initiatives. Additionally, this role will collaborate with discovery, preclinical, and clinical development teams to expedite new drug candidates into late-stage clinical development.
Travel Requirements: Approximately 10-20% - presentations and/or attendance at 2 or more domestic and/or 1 or more domestic 1 international scientific association meeting per year, plus key opinion leaders, scientific advisory boards regulatory meetings, academic collaborations, consortia, and other strategic meetings as required.

How You’ll Spend Your Day
- Leads the TPM Immunology and Immuno-oncology team to support drug asset programs in all phases of clinical development from early clinical development through post-approval.
- Develops and executes the overarching TPM strategy for the Immunology and Immuno-oncology portfolio according to Teva priorities, identifying issues and creating contingency plans.
- Oversees the generation and evaluation of scientific and clinical insights to guide drug development.
- Manages biomarker research and development initiatives to support drug response and safety.
- Designs and executes experimental and precision medicine clinical studies, ensures studies are rigorously designed, executed, and compliant with ethical standards and guidelines.
- Identifies and validates novel endpoints for early decision making and patient stratification.
- Collaborates with discovery, preclinical, and clinical development teams to enhance drug candidate selection.
- Provides expert support for regulatory engagements and submissions.
- Shapes the Innovative Medicine strategy for Immunology and Immuno-oncology as a member of the TA Strategy Team.
- Develops the TPM Scientific Engagement and Publication Strategy and oversees the preparation of presentations, abstracts, and scientific publications.
- Fosters collaborative relationships and leads discussions with external subject matter experts, academic collaborators, patient advocacy groups, and commercial suppliers and vendors.
Your experience and qualifications
- M.D. or M.D./PhD or PhD from an accredited medical school with training in Pharmacology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics or Related Disciplines
- Minimum of 7 years of early clinical research and drug development experience, experience in translational and precision medicine
- Minimum of 2 years of managerial experience
- Relevant experience in pharmaceutical/biotech or related industries
- Project and people management, and leadership experience
- Experience working cross-functionally, balancing scientific expertise with managerial responsibilities
- Technical knowledge, clinical training, board eligibility/certification in immunology – dermatology, rheumatology, gastroenterology, pulmonology, allergology or immuno-oncology
- Early clinical development experience (designing/managing clinical studies, ICH, GCP, GLP)
- Experience with regulatory interactions
- Publication record or industry experience in fields associated with translational science, precision medicine, clinical biomarkers, and early clinical development
- Fluent in English.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong sense of urgency and understanding of meeting firm deadlines.
- Demonstrate a proactive and strategic approach and be willing to be hands-on and involved in the practical aspects of execution.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and aggressive timelines.
- Ability to thrive and enjoy working independently in a fast-paced, matrix environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities and varied concurrent tasks.
