Tews Company is partnering with a well-established and respected organization seeking a Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to provide strategic financial leadership. About the Role
The Manager of FP&A will play a key role in financial planning, forecasting, and reporting while leading a team of Senior and Financial Analysts. This position requires strong analytical expertise, leadership abilities, and a passion for process improvement. It offers an exciting opportunity for career advancement, providing a step up from a Senior Financial Analyst role with increased responsibility and strategic influence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the FP&A team, ensuring strong financial planning and reporting.
- Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow projections.
- Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Conduct variance analysis, identify financial trends, and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Enhance reporting processes and ensure accurate, timely financial data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess financial impacts of business initiatives.
- Implement process improvements and automation to increase efficiency.
- Serve as a mentor to the FP&A team, fostering professional growth and development.
- Work closely with accounting to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications & Skills
- 5-7 years of finance or business experience, with leadership or management experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
- Experience with accounting systems (Sage preferred) and business intelligence tools.
- Proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial reporting software.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial data to executives.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience leading high-performing teams and driving continuous improvement.
