Position Purpose and Objectives
Under general supervision, you will use your analytical skills and business acumen to directly credit union operations. You will partner with department team members to analyze current processes and implement solutions to streamline processes, improve efficiencies and improve the end-user experience. You must be a self-starter, intellectually curious and can find innovative approaches to business problems/opportunities.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
Process Analysis:
- Conduct assessments of existing processes, systems and workflows through interviews, observation and data analysis to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
- Map process flows as part of the analysis; along with gathering and analyzing data from various sources, including business metrics, financial reports, and feedback from stakeholders.
Process Design and Improvement:
- Work closely with stakeholders to develop, recommend and implement new processes or modify existing ones to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs and improve the end user experience.
Project Management:
- Lead or participate in process improvement projects with a sense of urgency.
- Create project plans, set milestones, and track progress to ensure successful project delivery. Proactively escalating issues as needed.
- Facilitate meetings to gather input and drive consensus on process changes.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure process changes are effectively communicated and adopted.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Document current processes, proposed changes and improvements in a clear and detailed manner.
- Prepare and present reports on process performance, improvement initiatives, and project outcomes to stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), KPIs and process maps.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to process improvement.
- Identify opportunities for ongoing improvement and innovation.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
Other:
- Conducts follow-up reviews to ensure the teams are adhering to the new processes.
- Bring an analytical and problem-solving mindset to standard challenges
- Complete other assigned duties as assigned

Requirements
Specific knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position:
- Must have strong analytical and strong problem-solving skills and be detail oriented to provide high quality deliverables.
- Must be well organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize resources, time, and work load between multiple projects.
- Strong written & verbal communication skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to create clear and concise written and oral communications, including emails, letters, presentations and demonstrations.
- Excellent time management skills, with ability to set priorities and set deadlines without supervision. Must be a self-starter with punctual and reliable work habits.
- Demonstrated ability to execute effective team meetings;
- Ability to establish and maintain professional rapport with end user departments and vendors.
- The ability to think critically while working both independently and as part of a team is required.
Education: Two to four-year college degree preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of similar or related experience. Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma experience is a plus. Candidate should be prepared to demonstrate how like experiences apply to this position. It should be proficient using Microsoft Office applications, such as: Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel.
