Description
- Observe all safety rules and assist in maintaining a safe work environment.
- Comply with the Company’s quality management system requirements and promote the advancement of the QMS within TCI – Texarkana Aluminum, Inc.
- Follow all written SOPs and Work Instructions per detail.
- Understanding of customer requirements and knowledge of the production processes.
- Perfrom chemical and physical analysis procedures and ability to understand cause and effect (the processes).
- Operation of OES with Drift Correction, Type Standardization, Standard Checks, production sample analysis, in addition maintain the preventive maintenance schedule.
- Collect and prepare aluminum samples, perform destructive and nondestructive testing using various types of Laboratory equipment.
- Collect and prepare coolant samples, analyze by standard chemical procedures using specialized Laboratory instruments, interpret and report results.
- Record and process all nonroutine work requests
- Maintain quality and performance records, logs or files.
- Assist Laboraotry Supervisor with compliance of ISO 9001: 2015
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by Management and/or Laboratory Supervisor.
Qualifications
- Associates degree in chemistry, math, physics, biology or related field
- Two years of laboratory or engineering testing experience in lieu of degree
- Knowledge of chemistry, math, laboratory procedures, laboratory equipment
- Microsoft Office competency
- The ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Ability to work 8, 10, 12 hr. shifts and OT
- Lift and carry 50 pounds
