What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dyslexia Teacher position at Texarkana Arkansas School District?
The Texarkana Arkansas School District is seeking applicants for dyslexia teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The dyslexia teacher will provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth and enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
Applicants must meet the following qualitications:
Pass a national criminal background check and a background check of the Arkansas Child Maltreatment Registry
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
Valid Arkansas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of dyslexia services
Completion of dyslexia training
General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
At least one year of student teaching or approved internship.
Experience with Take Flight and/or Phonics First preferred.
Salary : $50,000 - $63,000
