What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Maintenance Staff position at Texarkana Arkansas Schools?
The Texarkana Arkansas School District is seeking applicants for electrical maintenance staff effective immediately. This position holds a 240-day (year round) contract. Electrical, security camera, fire alarm and access control experience preferred. Applicants must pass a national criminal background check and a background check through the Arkansas Child Maltreatment Central Registry prior to beginning employment.
PRIMARY PURPOSE :
Assist in following routine maintenance and repair procedures for assigned areas to maintain a high standard of safety and efficiency of all buildings and equipment.
QUALIFICTIONS :
Education / Certification :
High School diploma or GED
Valid driver's license
Special Knowledge / Skills :
Knowledge of basic techniques of repair and new installation of assigned areas (carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.)
Ability to operate tools and equipment common to assigned area
Ability to lift and carry 75 lbs. without assistance
Computer skills for data cable insulation
Experience :
Five or more years experience in commercial plant operations in electrical / maintenance
