What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguard position at Texarkana Independent School District?
Location: TISD Swim Facilities on Texarkana College Campus
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Primary responsibility is to prevent drowning and other injuries from occurring. Ensure the safety of patrons by minimizing or eliminating hazardous situations or behaviors. Lifeguard must be able to enforce pool policies and be able to communicate effectively why policies are in place.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED required
Must be certified in CPR, first aid and AED
Current Lifeguard Certification required
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Be able to solve on-the-job issues utilizing effective critical thinking
Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR
Experience:
Previous lifeguarding experience
