Job Description
This is a part-time, seasonal position that will assist in phases of Field Nursery and Greenhouse operations and productions.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with nursery operations including preparing seedling bundles for shipment, preparing trays and tubes, mixing soil, sowing seed and watering seedlings in greenhouse and lath house.
- -General maintenance and upkeep as required, including weeding field nursery.
- Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions: Work in conditions form warm greenhouse to open air shop. Some walking and lifting required. May stand for long duration. Average working hours: 20hrs./wk.
Education and Experience:
Required Education: High school graduate or GED
Required Experience: No prior experience required.
Preferred Experience: Tree and shrub nursery
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Required Ability: Capable of operating greenhouse and nursery systems. Accurately following instructions. Multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Preferred Ability: Operate tractor. Pull a trailer successfully
Registrations, Certifications, and Licenses:
Required: Valid driver's license
Other Requirements:
Required: Present a professional image when dealing with customers.
