Job Description
Purpose:
The Human Resources Generalist II will support processes related to employee onboarding and personnel data management.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the background check and educational verification process for new hires, overseeing all aspects and driving continuous improvements.
- Assist with the management and execution of onboarding Laserfiche processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Oversee and manage personal data processes.
- UIN Management: Act as UIN Manager to issue UINs.
- Confirm New Hires: Act as UIN Partner to process Confirm New Hire/Rehire tasks in Workday.
- Personal Information/Data Changes: Manage and process any changes to personal information or data for employees in Workday and Guardian.
- Social Security Number (SSN) Management: Ensure the proper handling and entry of employees' Social Security Numbers.
- Provide I-9 compliance support as needed.
- Assist and ensure compliance with I-9 requirements for employees.
- Assist I-9 partner with creating, reviewing, approving, and retaining of Form I-9’s in Guardian and Workday systems.
- Assist with developing and tracking employee onboarding events in Eventbrite.
- Develop and implement new surveys as needed to gather relevant data and feedback.
- Assist with tracking the onboarding budget, including purchasing necessary materials and resources for new hires.
- Advises faculty, staff and business services team members on processes, procedures, and services as well as serving as a subject matter expert and technical resource.
- Maintain volume overview data of Centralized HR services via Google Docs. Responsible for creating reports related to CHR processing to support initiatives.
- Provide support and resources to new employees to enhance their onboarding experience.
- Provides excellent customer service while assisting stakeholders with HR related processes, procedures and services.
- Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Assists with researching and resolving issues related to personnel and other HR services.
- Other duties as assigned.
What we need:
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One year of related experience.
