Job Description

Purpose:

The Program Director, under general direction, directs the administration of assigned programs, including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling program activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Reports to TAMC2 Director
  • Designs, establishes and direct externally funded training and education programs
  • Develops and manages selected program strategic plans and budgets
  • Supports recruiting, retention and mentoring of students
  • Collaborates with DoD stakeholders as well as other Federal, State and industry potential partners
  • Develops experiential learning modules to support programs across the center
  • Designs program elements and curriculum that can be externally funded.
  • Develops strategies for recruiting and retaining students in the center’s programs
  • For specific projects, responsible for contract compliance and execution in accordance with Federal Government, DoD, and TAMUS/TAMU policies and procedures
  • Manages selected program staff, schedules, scope, and execution
  • Develops long-term vision for new and existing programs and shapes opportunities to enable sustainability of the program

What we need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ten years of related experience.

What is helpful:

  • Master’s degree in applicable field
  • Demonstrated experience starting up new programs involving significant amounts of cybersecurity expertise, coordination and external funding.
  • Experience planning and initiating multi-faceted programs
  • Significant experience in experiential learning development and delivery.
  • Extensive experience in synchronous and asynchronous cybersecurity course development and delivery.
  • Cybersecurity experience in the U.S. Federal Government
  • Experience working in military/Department of Defense education structure or commands

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Self-starter who is capable of navigating ambiguous and complex environments
  • Effectively works in a shared governance environment
