Job Description
Purpose:
The Program Director, under general direction, directs the administration of assigned programs, including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling program activities.
Responsibilities:
- Reports to TAMC2 Director
- Designs, establishes and direct externally funded training and education programs
- Develops and manages selected program strategic plans and budgets
- Supports recruiting, retention and mentoring of students
- Collaborates with DoD stakeholders as well as other Federal, State and industry potential partners
- Develops experiential learning modules to support programs across the center
- Designs program elements and curriculum that can be externally funded.
- Develops strategies for recruiting and retaining students in the center’s programs
- For specific projects, responsible for contract compliance and execution in accordance with Federal Government, DoD, and TAMUS/TAMU policies and procedures
- Manages selected program staff, schedules, scope, and execution
- Develops long-term vision for new and existing programs and shapes opportunities to enable sustainability of the program
What we need:
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ten years of related experience.
What is helpful:
- Master’s degree in applicable field
- Demonstrated experience starting up new programs involving significant amounts of cybersecurity expertise, coordination and external funding.
- Experience planning and initiating multi-faceted programs
- Significant experience in experiential learning development and delivery.
- Extensive experience in synchronous and asynchronous cybersecurity course development and delivery.
- Cybersecurity experience in the U.S. Federal Government
- Experience working in military/Department of Defense education structure or commands
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Self-starter who is capable of navigating ambiguous and complex environments
- Effectively works in a shared governance environment
