What you’ll do…
As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial activities. You will manage general ledger activities, track contributions, income, and disbursements, and support the Foundation's daily operations. Your expertise will be vital in preparing specialized reports, financial statements, and maintaining internal controls. You will manage banking system deposits, transfers, electronic payments, and security transactions. Because we manage a significant investment fund, you will also work within endowment compliance and handle trust and gift annuity processing.

This position does not have direct supervision or management responsibilities. May provide guidance and assignment of tasks to student workers and other team members. Provides indirect leadership through collaborative efforts. No travel required.

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting, finance or related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Access, Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

- Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- 5 years of progressive work experience in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Experience in non-profit organization or higher education sectors.
- Knowledge of donor database management systems, preferably Salesforce.
- Demonstrate the attributes and behaviors of a Passionate Professional Dedicated to Purposeful Philanthropy.

- Contribute to team effectiveness through knowledge-sharing and proactively identifying process improvements.
