What you’ll do…
As the Assistant Director of Development, you will serve as an ambassador of the Texas A&M Foundation and Texas A&M University, uniting donor generosity with the university's vision to shape a better future. In this role, you will develop and cultivate long-term, donor-centric relationships built on a firm understanding of the donor’s interests, passions, and values. Your primary objective will be to solicit impactful gifts that benefit Texas A&M, advancing the mission of the university, the College/Unit, and strategic academic priorities. You will operate under the Texas A&M Foundation’s fundraising model, which emphasizes discovering, inspiring, inviting, and engaging prospective donors with major and planned gift potential. Utilizing active listening skills and collaboration, you will work to advance goals, funding priorities, and overall short-term and long-term fundraising strategies by securing private support.

- Bachelor’s degree or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 1 years of fundraising or other related experience.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- High motivation, proactive approach, and strong work-ethic. Commitment to the mission and vision of Texas A&M Foundation.
- Master’s degree.
- 2 years of related development experience.
- Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE), or other comparable certification.
- Experience in non-profit organization or higher education sectors.
- Demonstrate the attributes and behaviors of a Passionate Professional Dedicated to Purposeful Philanthropy.
- Embody the Aggie Core Values and the Foundation Beliefs.
- Contribute to team effectiveness through knowledge-sharing and proactively identifying process improvements.
- Participate in the establishment and attainment of personal, departmental, divisional, and organizational goals and objectives in support of the mission, vision, and goals of the Foundation.
