The Graphic Designer II leads the creation and execution of innovative digital content that captivates and inspires action among faculty, students, and staff within Mays Business School . Essential Duties / Tasks
Graphic Design, Development, and Production
Collaborates with the Learning Design team to create engaging content.
Develop components of the design process, including defining requirements, visualizing, and creating graphics (e.g., illustrations, logos, layouts, photographs).
Shape and enhance the visual identity of learning elements, multi- and print media, product packaging, and exhibitions.
Act as an experienced resource in graphics software, hardware, and techniques.
Provide and follow creative direction for advanced graphic designs for print and multimedia channels.
Develop complex illustrations, logos, and other design elements using software or by hand.
Creates motion graphics for use in multimedia presentations.
Design and produce high-quality graphics for video media.
Project Management
Lead design projects, ensuring alignment with goals and timelines.
Use project management systems to document progress, allocate resources, and maintain documentation.
Develop detailed project plans and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
Mentor team members on project management and design processes.
Establish and enforce design standards and quality control processes.
Maintain a robust digital asset library, implementing version control and access protocols.
Information Awareness
Follow industry trends through professional networks, blogs, e-newsletters, and social media.
Implement innovative design techniques and share best practices.
Participate in professional development opportunities such as conferences, workshops, and webinars.
Conduct competitive analysis and collaborate with cross-industry experts to integrate relevant strategies.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphics Design, Fine Arts, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two years of professional experience in graphic design, including both print and digital media.
