What We Want
The Laboratory Manager will coordinate the distribution, oversight, and maintenance of supplies and equipment in three magnetic resonance (MR) systems facilities. The selected candidate will provide an administrative point of contact to empower across-facility collaboration and will be positioned to jointly service the shared administrative needs of the three MR systems facilities. The Lab Manager will also supervise the small number of employees who support the facilities.

Salary : Compensation will be commensurate based on the selected hire’s education and experience.
Special Note : Because all or a portion of your salary may be funded by grants or contracts, your continuing salary and overall employment is contingent upon availability of these funds in the future.
Required Education and Experience :
Bachelors degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Five years of related experience in laboratory management
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications
Knowledge of standard laboratory safety procedures
Excellent written communication and presentation skills
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to ensure understanding
Preferred Qualifications :
Previous leadership experience
Previous experience working in a clinical / research environment
Previous experience working with clinical patients and supporting research involving animal subjects
Prior experience working in a MR facility
Responsibilities :
Administration & Facility Integration : Provide an administrative point of contact to empower across-facility collaboration of three Magnetic Resonance (MR) facilities. Oversee business needs of the three facilities. Attend and participate in meetings pertaining to MR facilities matters. Assist with data and record control.
Scheduling, Organization, & Operations : Schedule services and logistics of accommodating participants, patients, and preclinical studies. Organize laboratory supplies, inventory, and instruments used in MR facilities research. Serve as an MR scanner operator when there is insufficient coverage from the MRI Technologists.
Supervision : Supervise graduate staff and student employees who support facilities. Manage duties and tasks of graduate staff and student employees, as well as performing other duties as assigned.
