What We Want
The Energy Analyst position is responsible for the retrieval, archiving, analyzing and reporting of utility data. Creates baseline models and uses them to monitor energy consumption levels and to validate meter and sensor functionality. Analyzes and verifies utility data to ensure accuracy.
What You Need To Know
Starting Pay : 78,030.00

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
One year experience in energy consumption analysis, energy management in building or power plant, utility demand-side programs or other related fields.
Required Licenses and Certifications :
Valid Texas “C” driver license or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others. Ability to read and comprehend written and oral instructions in English and communicate effectively.
Preferred Education and Experience :
Master’s Degree.
Two years of experience in field of energy consumption modeling.
Responsibilities
Baseline Modeling- Develops and maintains building / campus / plant energy consumption model and baseline.
Data Analysis- Assists in research and analysis related to all utility consumption. Verifies accuracy of consumption and meter / sensor. This requires driving a university vehicle to various campus locations for meetings and to complete duties.
Interpretation and Reporting- Monitors energy consumption levels. Identifies any meter, sensor, or operation problem and communicate with appropriate groups to handle. Generates reports to determine avoided cost for energy conservation project. Identifies opportunities for improvement through implementation of energy conservation measures.
Consumption Projection- Assists in preparation and providing consumption projection profiles used to meet essential energy procurement and cost recovery model requirements.
Data Preparation & Review- Retrieves and manages utility data. Develops customer energy and water consumption profiles and other essential customer utility information
