Job Summary
The Director of the Center for Faculty Excellence (CFE) will also serve as the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) Director. The individual will provide strategic leadership, coordination, and oversight of the Center as well as for the implementation and assessment of the Focus on the Future Quality Plan. The Director will provide faculty the tools, resources, and opportunities to deliver valuable, innovative, and high-quality learning experiences to facilitate student success, offer workshops and resources covering a variety of topics to support faculty at all career stages, and recognize high-achieving and innovative faculty in teaching, research, and service. The QEP aims to enhance students' career readiness by embedding professional competencies across the curriculum, co-curricular experiences and faculty training. The Director will assist faculty to develop innovation in teaching, collaborate with faculty, staff, and administrators to implement career-focused initiatives, assess student learning outcomes, and ensure continuous improvement in alignment with accreditation standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Provide faculty the tools, resources, and opportunities to deliver valuable, innovative, and high-quality learning experiences.
Offer workshops and resources covering a variety of topics to support faculty at all career stages.
Recognize high-achieving and innovative faculty in teaching, research, and service.
Oversee the New Faculty Investment Program (NFIP).
Oversee instructional coaching for teaching observations and faculty feedback.
Develop and implement faculty training programs, including workshops and conferences focused on innovation in teaching, career-readiness pedagogy, A.I., and academic technologies.
Support research and creative production of faculty across disciplines, potentially through writing groups, workshops and support sessions.
Assist faculty with integrating Caring Campus into their classes.
Facilitate ACUE training support for faculty.
Lead and manage the implementation of the Focused on the Future QEP, which focuses on curricular enhancement via implementation of capstone experiences across the curriculum.
Support faculty-driven career-readiness initiatives, including curriculum integration.
Coordinate the implementation of faculty mentoring touchpoints for sophomore and junior students through coordinated efforts.
Oversee assessment efforts with faculty, including the administration of senior capstone evaluations.
Analyze and report data on student learning outcomes, faculty engagement, and program effectiveness.
Ensure continuous improvement through data-driven decision-making.
Serve as the primary liaison between academic departments, Career Engagement, Institutional Effectiveness, and other university offices to advance CFE and QEP goals.
Chair the Center for Faculty Excellence Advisory Board.
Coordinate CFE Travel Awards and annual CFE Teaching Awards to recognize faculty achievements.
Manage resources to support faculty development, student engagement, and program assessment.
Communicate the impact and progress of the CFE and the QEP to internal and external stakeholders through reports, presentations, and institutional publications.

Minimum Requirements
Education - Doctoral degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience - Six years of experience in academic administration, curriculum development, career services, or related areas. Teaching experience at the post-secondary level. Demonstrated experience in program development, assessment, and faculty support.
Knowledge of - Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications.
Ability to - Ability to collaborate across departments with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Planning and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to be tenured in one of the university's academic departments.
Ability to produce scholarship on topics in teaching-learning.
Familiarity with NACE career competencies and high-impact educational practices.
Strong leadership, project management, and organizational skills.
Experience working with accreditation agencies and assessment of student learning outcomes.
Experience leading initiatives focused on career readiness and workforce development in a higher education setting.
Experience with faculty development programs and training initiatives.
Knowledge of best practices in career advising.
Sound use of social media.
