Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform Collaborative Pianist duties for the School of Music (SOM). Accompany students, faculty, and guest artists on recitals and concerts as assigned. Additional duties may include accompanying ensembles in rehearsal and performance settings, playing for masterclasses, accompanying for SOM Audition Days, accompanying selected voice students in lessons, performing on recording sessions with faculty and students, and other related responsibilities as determined by the SOM.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Six years of related experience in performing and accompanying, including prior choral accompanist experience. Knowledge of sight reading. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: DMA degree in piano/collaborative piano, college level experience in performing and accompanying
RANK AND SALARY: Instructor, non-tenure track. This is a 10-month, renewable position. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
