The Events Technician II provides event set-up and operation of technical equipment and ambient staging for small- and large-scale live events. This position may also coordinate small scale events.

Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3 years of experience in the A/V industry
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
- Familiar with stage construction, lighting, and audio/video set-up for optimal performance/display
- Baccalaureate degree
- 4 years of experience in the A/V industry
- EVENT SUPPORT & OPERATION - Operate equipment related to lighting, audio, and/or video as needed for events within our facility and elsewhere on campus. Execute event related needs as expressed by the customer or event manager. Gain a thorough understanding of equipment owned by Rudder Theatre Complex and how best to utilize it in support of events in Rudder Theatre Complex as well as across campus, work to gain a knowledge of installed AV equipment at commonly supported facilities.
- EVENT SETUP & BREAKDOWN - Assist in the setup & breakdown of events across campus, to include venues in Rudder Theatre Complex & other buildings/areas of campus.
- INSTUCTION & TUTELAGE - Teach & supervise full-time and part-time staff in the operation and best practices of consoles, equipment, & event-related hardware.
- EVENT SPECIFIC EQUIPMENT PLANNING & EQUIPMENT INVENTORY MONITORING - Examine event needs & determine appropriate equipment needed for small & large scale events. Plan, pack, & appropriately mark necessary gear to ensure fellow crew are aware.
- CLIENT & CUSTOMER INTERACTION - Interact directly with customers/clients on events to ensure that expectations are met. Continue to provide excellent customer service.
