Position Details: Evening Based Position 3:30pm-12:30 am and weekends
- This position is an evening-based position that works during the academic school year from 3:30 pm to 12:30 am with an hour off for lunch. The days off with be two consecutive days but may not be Saturday and/or Sunday. Must be able and willing to work evenings, weekends, and special events.
- High school graduation or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Two years of related experience.
- Provides event support before, during, and after events. May work backstage or front of house during events.
- Assists with set-up of staging: tables, chairs, drapes as well as some AV equipment, lighting, props, etc.
- Explains & imparts proper safety and operation practices. Ensure staff is trained to be observant for safety issues and is comfortable/confident enough to address issues as they arise.
- Gains thorough operational understanding of event logistics to include audio/visual equipment.
- Examines event needs & determines appropriate equipment needed for small- & large-scale events.
- Sets-up equipment for usage across multiple events over a short timespan to ensure client expectations are met & that inventory is maintained to support concurrent events.
- Assists with equipment inventory and ensures equipment is in operational condition.
- Interacts directly with customers/clients on events to ensure that expectations are met. Attends meetings with managers in the event planning process.
- Operates equipment related to event setups: lighting, audio, and/or video as needed for events within our facility and elsewhere on campus.
- May coordinate small scale events.
