What You Need To Know
- Compensation will be commensurate based on the selected hire’s education and experience.
- This position is not remote but will require working on/off campus outside of normal business hours to attend events and manage programs as part of the essential duties of this position. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five years of additional related experience working with faculty affairs and/or related programs required
- Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications
- Ability to organize work effectively and prioritize objectives with a high level of discretion and independent judgment and initiative
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Planning and organization skills
- Ability to work with a variety of groups and be helpful, respectful, approachable, and team oriented
- Ability to build strong working relationships and a positive work environment
- Master’s Degree
- Experience with scheduling applications (Outlook, Doodle polls, etc.)
- Experience using Qualtrics survey applications
- Experience planning workshops and other events
- Experience preparing reports on program activities
- Faculty Affairs Programming: Programming will include but is not limited to awards programs, travel grants, new faculty orientations, faculty development programs, Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) led programs, and new programs that may be initiated by the Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs, Associate Dean for Faculty Success and Development and the Associate Dean for Faculty Initiatives. Works with the appropriate Associate Dean and/or Director to develop and implement procedures for administration of the programs. Oversees Faculty Affairs information and updates on the college level intranet. Serves as a resource for InfoReady submissions related to programs. Assists with the development and production of materials for the programs. Works with the Director of Faculty Affairs on budgets related to programming.
- Faculty Affairs Special Projects: Assists with special projects for the faculty affairs office under the direction of the Director of Faculty Affairs.
- Supervision of Center Staff: Responsible for the supervision and management of the administrative staff and student workers located in the Race and Ethnic Studies Institute. Will work with the director to manage administrative support and logistics for events.
