Texas A&M Engineering offers competitive salaries, full benefits, an extensive support network, and above all, an enriching and highly collaborative working community that is deeply passionate about our vision for higher education, research, and public service.Job DescriptionPurpose : The Program Specialist I, under general supervision, performs entry-level specialist duties for a department, college, or division.Responsibilities : Assists in planning, developing, implementing, coordinating, and monitoring programs and services.Plans and develops specialized programs such as webinars, seminars, meetings, tours, short courses, and workshops to facilitate program goals.Prepares travel requests and other expense reports.Coordinates specialized program communications and marketing materials.Assists in the preparation and maintenance of websites, reports, newsletters, and other documents.Attends meetings to discuss the progress of assigned programs.Performs other duties as assigned.What we need : Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.No prior experience required.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment.Work Location : Main Campus – College Station, TX.About Department of Electrical and Computer EngineeringThe Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Texas A&M University leads advanced research in several important national and global areas for the betterment of humanity. Areas of research include power and power electronics, information systems, computer architecture, analog and mixed signals circuits, biomedical imaging, and photonics and semiconductors, with ML / AI infused in several of these research areas.
