Job Description Summary:
Project Specialist - Operations will provide operational support for Texas A&M-Fort Worth operations, events, and external relations.
Responsibilities:
- Event Management: Assist in managing event services, including reservations, scheduling, planning, billing, and post-event evaluations. Support the development and oversight of unit budgets. This includes coordinating with various departments to ensure all logistical aspects of
- Collaboration: Work with other System member offices and agencies. Assist in building and maintaining strong working relationships across the Texas A&M University System. This involves regular communication and coordination with different offices.
- Operational Support: Support the Texas A&M-Fort Worth Director of Operations with event and external relation procedure development. Monitor project timelines and communicate needs clearly. Recommend program, project, or process improvements.
- External Relations: Assist in coordinating external relations and cultivating relationships with stakeholders of Texas A&M-Fort Worth. Engage with key stakeholders to foster support and collaboration. This involves organizing meetings, preparing briefing materials, and ensuring that
- Stakeholder Management: Support the management of relationships with strategic groups and constituencies. Brief staff in advance of priority engagements and attend engagements to offer on-site support. This includes preparing detailed briefings, managing logistics for engagements, and providing support.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three years of related experience.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to provide strategic communications guidance and counsel to senior level administrators.
- Ability to collaborate successfully with internal and external teams.
- Ability to work independently and proactively.
- Attention to detail and follow through skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
- Experience providing executive engagement support within a higher education or closely related setting.
