The Department of Multidisciplinary Engineering, College of Engineering, at Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time tenured/tenure-track position with a 9-month academic appointment beginning as early as Fall 2024. Applicants will be considered for the faculty titles of professor, associate professor, or assistant professor depending on qualifications. The successful applicant will be expected to teach, advise, and mentor graduate and undergraduate students; develop/continue an independent, externally funded research program; participate in all aspects of the department’s activities; and serve the profession.

Engineering education has been identified in the department’s strategic plan as a primary focus area, and a variety of resources are being invested to promote it. The program currently includes masters and doctoral curricula and multiple faculty working in the field at all ranks. Applicants must have an earned PhD (or equivalent terminal degree) in engineering, engineering education, or a closely related discipline. Applicants should have a demonstrated record of scholarship in interdisciplinary engineering education that positions them as an emerging or established leader in the field.

Applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, personal statement to include philosophy and plans for research, teaching and service, as applicable, and a list of four references (including postal addresses, phone numbers and email addresses) by applying for this specific position at apply.interfolio.com/132772. Full consideration will be given to applications received by July 15, 2024. Applications received after that date may be considered until position is filled. It is anticipated the appointment will begin as soon as Fall 2024.
