Glimpse of the Job
The Virtual Production Institute (VPI), recipient of $25 million in funding from the State of Texas, is seeking an assertive, strategic leader for our Head of Production. The ideal candidate may have a bachelor’s degree and eight years of production/post-production experience. The Head of Production oversees the entire production ecosystem of virtual production stages, protocol adherence and process enhancements. You will assist the Director with operations and administration, maintaining responsibility for the production lifecycle, team management, and strategic initiatives. Your financial expertise ensures you represents the Institute's production interests and make key administrative decisions to ensure successful project execution.

Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Eight years of production or post-production leadership experience, including demonstrated experience managing teams and complex projects, and experience with virtual production workflows, live broadcast, and VFX pipelines
- Master’s degree in related field
- Knowledge of production management software and applications
- Proven ability to work across different production areas
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills
