PURPOSE
The Graduate Transcript Analyst II supports all graduate admissions processing efforts relative to admission applicant flows. The analyst serves as a data processor and evaluator for the academic admission and entry process. The Graduate Transcript Analyst II reports to the Director of Graduate Admissions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Functional Area 1 : Application / Transcript Processing
Percent Effort : 60%
20% - Process applications and admission decision for prospective graduate students to include file and transcript review, as well as issuance of appropriate levels of communication with prospective students.
20% - Serve as primary contact / liaison / advisor for prospective and / or current students, program personnel, and external constituents. Make decisions and provide information needed to applicants and university academic officials.
20% - Ensure accurate GPA calculations and process admit decisions including the processing of transcripts to determine the appropriate GPA on the last 60 hours of undergraduate work.
Functional Area 2 : Support / Administrative
Percent Effort : 35%
15% - Supervise, train, and coach student workers and graduate assistants on graduate admission tasks and processes.
10% - Plan and implement notifications to the student information system to support special program initiatives and admission requirement changes and increase processing efficiencies.
10% - Represent the department on university committees and in meetings. Work collaboratively with the office and personnel in other areas of the University.

Percent Effort : 5%
- 5% - Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Graduate Admissions, or their designees.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree.
Four (4) years of related experience.
Additional experience / education may be used as a substitution for the minimum qualification requirements :
High school Diploma / GED with six (6) years of related experience.
Bachelor’s degree with two (2) years of related experience.
Master’s degree
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, provide excellent customer service, operate in a challenging and stressful environment, as well as work independently to meet deadlines.
Ability to work weekends and evenings as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree.
Knowledge of admissions and recruitment functions.
Experience working with Banner, Laserfiche, and / or Argos is a plus.
Knowledge of higher education processes
General knowledge of record-keeping
SALARY : up to $34,195.20 / annually, approximately.
