Summer Camp Counselor (Seasonal)

*this position officially begins in May 2025*

Are you looking for a summer job? Are you energetic, responsible, and great with kids? Texas Academy of Gymnastics is looking for enthusiastic Summer Camp Counselors to join our team! Our summer camp is packed with fun, including crafts, rock wall climbing, open gym, on-site special guests, and exciting activities. While no gymnastics instruction is involved, our camp is highly active, and we need counselors who can keep up!

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise and engage with campers throughout the day to ensure a fun and safe environment.
• Maintain structure and organization while leading activities such as crafts, games, and physical play.
• Assist in setting up and cleaning up activities to keep the camp running smoothly.
• Encourage positive interactions between campers and help resolve minor conflicts when necessary.
• Ensure campers follow all safety rules and facility guidelines.
• Be a positive role model and bring high energy every day!

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old, have graduated from high school and can pass a background check
• Prior experience working with children (e.g., babysitting, coaching, volunteering) is preferred.
• Ability to stay active, organized, and engaged throughout the day.
• A friendly, patient, and energetic personality.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain

Job Details:

• Dates: Summer 2025 (May-August)
• Hours: Shifts are typically 7:30AM – 1:00 PM or 1pm-6:00pm Monday-Friday. Must be able to work both shifts and be able to work at least 3 days a week
• Compensation: Based on experience (12-22/hr)
