Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Metal Worker to join our team, responsible for fabricating and assembling metal parts, components, or structures according to specifications, blueprints, or designs. This role requires a strong understanding of metalworking techniques and the ability to operate a variety of metalworking machines, including CNC machines, milling machines, and laser cutting equipment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently.
Duties:
- Operate a range of metalworking machines, including CNC machines, milling machines, and laser cutting equipment, to fabricate and assemble metal parts, components, or structures.
- Use precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, to ensure the accuracy and quality of the work.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and other technical documents to understand specifications and requirements.
- Utilize electrical discharge machining (EDM) techniques to shape and finish metal parts.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport and store materials.
- Perform general maintenance tasks to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and proper functioning of the workshop.
- Work effectively in a team environment to meet production deadlines and maintain quality standards.
- Develop and implement new manufacturing techniques and processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Metal Worker or in a related field, with a strong understanding of metalworking techniques and operations.
- Familiarity with CNC programming and the ability to write and modify CNC programs.
- Experience with operating a crane or other overhead lifting equipment.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and interpretation.
- Experience with operating precision measuring instruments, including micrometers.
- Proven experience with operating milling machines and laser cutting equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy materials and equipment.

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overnight shift
- Weekends as needed
