General Description

The Multimedia Production Specialist performs intricate multimedia operations and production work within the Child Support Division Training Section. This role is responsible for designing graphics and interactive media materials, utilizing audiovisual equipment to develop training content, and supporting audiovisual needs at live events for child support personnel. This position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of Texans by contributing to the effective training and development of child support professionals.

Essential Position Functions

Assist in producing audio, video recording, podcasts, photography, and visual effects for training content. Develop creative concepts to enhance stakeholder engagement through multimedia design.

Design and create graphics and interactive media materials to support training initiatives. Provide expert consultation on technical graphic and multimedia solutions.

Collaborate and communicate with all stakeholders to incorporate their vision into training content. Offer strategic guidance to ensure project objectives align with organizational goals.

Provide live event support and technical assistance as needed with conference planning team to ensure seamless execution. Maintain excellent communication and organizational skills while prioritizing tasks effectively.

Comply with production quality standards and follow review and approval steps for production proofs to ensure accuracy and alignment with project requirements.

Accessibility and compliance: Stay current with accessibility best practices, making content more inclusive and compliant with regulations. Assist with evaluating accessibility needs and recommending improvements.

Equipment and Resource Management: Assist with the maintenance and procurement of multimedia equipment and materials.

Continuous Learning and Professional development: Maintain up to date knowledge of multimedia trends and best practices.

Ability to travel overnight for A/V support of live events for the agency

Performs related work as assigned

Maintains Relevant Knowledge Necessary To Perform Essential Job Functions

Attends work regularly in compliance with agreed-upon work schedule

Ensures security and confidentiality of sensitive and/or protected information

Complies with all agency policies and procedures, including those pertaining to ethics and integrity

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Creative Media Designer I

Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; experience working in the following (or closely related) fields may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis: professional reproduction, printing/publication, preparing audio/visual materials, operating audio/visual equipment; communications, film, graphics design development, multimedia/video production.

Experience: One year of full-time experience working in the following (or closely related) fields: professional reproduction, printing/publication, preparing audio/visual materials, operating audio/visual equipment; communications, film, graphics design development, multimedia/video production.

Knowledge of audio/visual techniques and practices.

Skill in handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines

Skill in effective oral and written communication

Skill in exercising sound judgment and effective decision making

Ability to receive and respond positively to constructive feedback

Ability to work cooperatively with others in a professional office environment

Ability to provide excellent customer service

Ability to work in person at assigned OAG work location, perform all assigned tasks at designated OAG work space within OAG work location, and perform in-person work with coworkers (e.g., collaborating, training, mentoring) for the entirety of every work week (unless on approved leave)

Ability to arrange for personal transportation for business-related travel

Ability to work more than 40 hours as needed and in compliance with the FLSA

Ability to lift and relocate 30 lbs.

Ability to travel (including overnight travel) up to 5%

Creative Media Designer II

All of the above for a Creative Media Designer I Plus:

Experience: Two (2) additional years of full-time experience working in the following (or closely related) fields: professional reproduction, printing/publication, preparing audio/visual materials, operating audio/visual equipment; communications, film, graphics design development, multimedia/video production.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience: Multimedia production/editing, printing, or reproduction

Skills: Operating audio/visual equipment

Skills: Microsoft Office Suite
