Job Summary and Qualifications
Education Specialist
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Provides formal education and training to practice personnel
SUPERVISOR: Practice Manager
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Coordinate and lead all new hire orientations for the practice
Primary contact for new hires and employees for all initial and retraining needs and evaluation
Under performs other duties and assignments as directed – such as processing orders, referrals, scheduling and other related duties as needed.
Develops and maintains a timely, comprehensive training and assessment curriculum.
Leads the implementation of all training initiatives. Monitors participant’s progress during training
and identifies and elevates as necessary issues to management.
Conducts training for employees and occasionally for other business partners.
Performs other projects and assignments as directed.
Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education or equivalent experience required
EXPERIENCE:
2 years’ work experience in healthcare environment preferred
5 years’ work experience in training preferred
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:
No License Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of business office procedures
Skill in operating a computer
Manages and prioritizes workload
Demonstrates ability to multi-task
Outstanding technical and soft training skills in training development, including computer-based
training; curriculum design; creation of training materials; course evaluations; classroom training
and need assessments.
Demonstrates proficiency in computer skills on word processing, spreadsheets, databases, desktop
publishing, email and internet.
Ability to speak clearly and concisely
Ability to ready, understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, physicians and
vendors.
Excellent training and documentation skills
