The Compliance Analyst, CRA is responsible for assisting the Chief Compliance Officer in the administration, monitoring, and management of the Bank’s compliance and CRA programs.
Provides secure, accurate, responsive, and courteous customer service to both internal and external customers at all times. Maintain strict confidentiality of customer and banking relationships.
Primary objective of this position is to be a trusted advisor to every internal and external customer. Inspires confidence and builds lasting relationships by consistently exhibiting each of the trusted advisor skills in order to help our customers identify and achieve their financial goals.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assists in administering, monitoring and managing programs that ensure the bank’s compliance with Federal and State laws, regulations and rules.
- Assists in Managing the Bank’s CRA program assuring compliance with CRA policies and regulations, including ongoing scrubbing of CRA data and the annual CRA submission to the FFIEC.
- Works with Chief Compliance Officer/CRA Officer to coordinate regulatory compliance and CRA exams/audits.
- Assists in preparing and maintaining the Bank’s CRA public file and CRA strategy.
- Assists in monitoring the Bank’s CRA performance by preparing reports and maps for the Compliance Committee, Fair Lending Task Force, and management.
- Responsible for review of small business and small farm loan files for accuracy and to determine if CRA reportable.
Other Job Functions:
- Maintain knowledge of Federal and state laws and regulations sufficient to perform compliance, CRA, HMDA, and fair lending reviews by reading the regulations, staying abreast of changes, continuing education, and reading trade association materials.
- Review, update, and create forms, disclosures, and procedures to ensure they comply with applicable laws and regulations under direction of Bank’s Chief Compliance Officer/CRA Officer.
- Update compliance policies as necessary and/or requested by Chief Compliance Officer/CRA Officer.
- Assist in preparing and providing compliance and CRA training as necessary.
- Cross train in other compliance related areas, including, but not limited to HMDA/Fair Lending.
- Perform periodic HMDA reviews and HMDA scrubs as needed.
- Assists Chief Compliance Officer/CRA Officer in review of all social media and advertising venues.
- Other duties as requested by their supervisor or other management representatives of the bank.
Job Requirements
Qualification Requirements:
- College degree preferred, with at least two years of related experience.
- Thorough understanding of bank compliance, CRA, HMDA, and fair lending regulations.
- Detail oriented, well-organized, efficient, and proven ability to work independently and quickly.
- Proven and extensive ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents such as government regulations, trade journals, and legal documents.
- Must have a willingness to learn and evolve, over time, as the job responsibilities change with the regulatory requirements and demands.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. CRA Mapping and reporting experience a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with all and exhibits ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain customer confidentiality.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and to work well within team environment presenting a positive customer service demeanor and attitude.
- Must comply with all bank policies and procedures that are job related and/or consistent with business necessity.

General Physical Demands and Workplace Conditions:

- Must be able to walk, sit or stand frequently, up to 50% of the time.
- Must be able to tolerate encounters with coworkers and customers under the following conditions:
Atmospheric pollutants or allergens, including but not limited to fumes, odors, dusts, poor ventilation;
Changes in indoor/outdoor temperatures encountered in travel between buildings and branches.
