Education:
High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
Previous teller experience preferred but not required
Knowledge:
- Excellent customer service skills, attentiveness, information retention, tact and diplomacy in dealing with both customers and employees
- Mathematical skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Detail oriented, high degree of accuracy
- Competent with computers, telephone, 10-key and other office machinery
- Ability to operate a Teller Cash Recycler
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & under pressure as needed
- Ability to make sound decisions. This may include making on the spot decisions regarding customer transactions; weighing customer satisfaction issues with the Bank's risk.
- Ability to think through and rationalize decisions
- Familiar with retail banking regulations and teller roles and responsibilities
- English language knowledge. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
