About the role:

As an Accounting Lead at Texas Carriers, you will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the financial health of our organization. This role requires a strategic thinker who can develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, forecasts, and budgets to drive business growth and profitability. You will provide crucial financial guidance and analysis to senior management, ensuring informed decision-making that aligns with our business objectives. This position is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional to lead and innovate within a dynamic and growing transportation company that specializes in cross-border logistics between Mexico and the USA.

Key responsibilities:

· Develop and implement financial plans, forecasts, and budgets.

· Provide strategic financial guidance and analysis to senior management.

· Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities and risks.

· Oversee financial planning and analysis for mergers and acquisitions.

· Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting/

· Manage and coordinate the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

· Develop and maintain financial policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.

· Develop and maintain effective expense management systems for cost control and optimization.

· Manage the organization's treasury functions, including cash management and risk management.

· Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

· Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial record-keeping and cost accounting.

· Provide financial guidance and support to other departments as needed.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, investors, and lenders.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

· Minimum of five years of experience in cost accounting.

· Demonstrated proficiency using computer software (Always Track, QuickBooks, Excel, Google Docs, Word)

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.

· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

· Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

· At least two years of experience in a supervisory role.

· Significant experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.

· Deep understanding USA/MEXICO regulatory compliance.

· Expertise in expense management, treasury management, and cost accounting.

· Leadership and Communication:

· Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team.

· Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex financial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

· Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills.

· Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

· Proactive and results-oriented with a strong commitment to driving business success.
