About the role:
The gate guard will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and smooth operation of a transportation company that utilizes dry vans for shipping goods between Mexico and the USA. The position is based in Laredo, TX, a key transportation cross-border transportation.
Key responsibilities:
· Monitor and control access to the facility by checking identification and credentials of personnel and visitors
· Operate gate and surveillance systems to ensure secure entry and exit
· Conduct routine patrols of the facility to detect and report any security concerns or breaches
· Enforce company policies and procedures related to security and access control in alignment with CTPAT guidelines
· Communicate effectively with team members and report any irregularities to management
· Assist with emergency response as needed and follow all safety protocols
Minimum Qualifications:
· Ability to work various shifts, including nights and weekends
· Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
· Familiarity with CTPAT guidelines is required
· Ability to pass a Background and Drug test prior to starting
