- Performance of exceptional quality routine and specialized interventional radiographic procedures at the request of licensed independent practitioners for interpretation by radiologists.
- The Specialist is a liaison between patients, radiologists, and other members of the support team.
- Integrates scientific knowledge, technical skills, patient interaction, and compassionate care resulting in diagnostic information.
- Recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
- Maintains a high degree of accuracy in radiographic positioning and exposure technique.
- Possesses, utilizes, maintains, and enhances knowledge of radiation safety and protection for self, patients, and others.
- Prepares, administers, and documents activities related to medications in accordance with state regulations and institution policy.
- Demonstrates an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
