Job Description :
The HVAC Service Manager of Texas Chiller Systems (TCS) is determined to establish and oversee a top-tier mechanical HVAC, Boiler, and Chiller service team in Texas. They will work closely with the Director of Service to ensure that the needs of our technicians and customers are met through exceptional leadership. Their values of integrity, pride, and grit inspire our Service Team, subcontractors, and vendors to cultivate a culture of excellence.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- You will perform various administrative tasks such as meetings with other departments, regular review of schedules, team member review preparation and execution, and reoccurring training, meeting preparation and execution. You are a team player and are always looking for an opportunity to help others.
- You will actively pursue and secure business with customers outside of the current customer base. You are passionate about company growth and understand that you are an essential part of driving that growth.
- You will review invoices and incoming notes from technicians for compliance with company standards. You are dedicated to ensuring that any project with TCS's name on it meets or exceeds the standards set forth by both the industry and the customer.
- You will work with the CSM to address existing customers' needs to build strong relationships and achieve repeat business. You are accustomed to working as a team to meet company goals.
- You have a strong drive to provide exceptional customer service by striving to achieve 100% customer satisfaction and continuously making improvements to meet customer quality expectations.
- You actively participate in the development of the company and provide leadership and support to improve results for both the company and its clients. You will work with senior management to maintain, monitor, and enhance the group's fiscal soundness and to make financially sound, well-supported decisions.
- You will use your understanding of financial performance metrics to create and effectively communicate a business and financial plan as well as a budget that will convey a clear path for success.
- You understand the importance of team training and will work to conduct or arrange training in repair, operational procedures, equipment use, maintenance techniques, and safety with the Safety Manager. You grasp the need for trained technicians, and you enjoy cultivating an atmosphere of constant learning.
- You prioritize your team's needs by creating and assessing technical performance indicators and taking appropriate actions to ensure everyone's success through developing and maintaining a cost-effective system for technician training and career development with HR assistance.
- You will follow up with the team members after training has been completed to ensure that there is consistency of quality with the work that is being performed. You take ownership of your work, and you follow up with the people you train to make sure they are continuing to demonstrate quality service.
- You will teach all new technicians the policies, procedures, daily tasks, preferred methods of communication and all other expectations. You enjoy working with new team members to make sure they understand the culture and expectations at R&D and feel welcomed to the team.
- You are proactive and grasp the importance of updating policies and procedures to drive accountability among employees and operations.
- You will communicate with team members in a manner that is professional, courteous, and understandable. You are a people person at heart and genuinely enjoy serving others.
- You will assist with determining schedules and assignments for work activities based on work priority, staff skill sets, and customer needs in conjunction with the CSM.
- You will work with the Purchasing Manager and CSM to monitor inventories to ensure that adequate supplies and equipment are being ordered for job completions.
- You will utilize your strong analytical skills to prepare operational reports such as time and labor analysis, inventory data, and repair and / or maintenance statistics.
Qualifications :
Minimum Time Commitment to the Position :
Hours of Availability : 6 : 00am-6 : 00pm, Monday-Friday for physical visits to locations. You will also be required to be available via phone from 8 : 00am-8 : 00pm, 7 days a week. You may be required to come in early or stay late to accommodate special opportunities.
