DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist IT staff with equipment setups for various campus related events. Resolve general IT related issues, including basic equipment repairs and replacements. Maintain inventory records of College equipment and ensure that defective items are properly disposed of (in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines). Install and configure software. Create and maintain local area networks (LAN). Other tasks as assigned. Ability to work weekends and after business hours if needed. Must have basic knowledge of and experience with networking and LAN's, general knowledge of computers and related technology and electronic devices, familiarity with operation and uses of standard instructional equipment, ability to communicate effectively with users. EDUCATION: The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or in Computer Science. Consideration will also be given to those who have Associate's degree in Computer Science. A minimum of 6 months experience with computer troubleshooting along with Comp TIA A Certification is preferred.
