This position is a member of our North Central and West Texas division.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Observe routine stack testing activities to determine adherence to TCEQ approved testing procedures and sampling methods.
- Review stack sampling and monitoring system certification reports to determine if all Quality Assurance/Quality Control requirements for emission measurements have been completed and meet standards or if Contentious/Predictive Emissions Monitoring Systems meet certification criteria.
- Review proposed sampling plans for compliance with applicable federal and state permits and regulations.
- Prepare accurate and complete reports for all activities. Provide information to regulated community regarding compliance issues.
- Stay abreast of state and federal regulations applicable to source sampling and monitoring.
- Coordinate technical communications between the public, industry, and other governmental agencies concerned with stack testing activities.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in conducting or observing stack tests.
- Experience in interpreting air rules, regulations, policies, or procedures.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor’s degree with a major in engineering, basic science, math, environmental science, or related fields, from an accredited college or university, plus one year of full-time experience in performing engineering, technical, analytical, or related work in environmental control activities.
One year of full-time experience in the field of environmental control activities may substitute for each year of the required education.
Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering examination may be substituted for six months of the required experience.
One year of graduate work (24 semester hours) from an accredited college or university in the specified fields may substitute for the required experience
