Role and Responsibilities

Must be willing to work 1st Shift - 7:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday-Friday

Our growing company has an immediate opening for a Production Operations Associate who will be responsible for doing a wide range of tasks in a stone manufacturing shop including operating stone fabrication machinery, operating forklifts, and maintaining a clean work environment. The right candidate for this role will have experience working in the manufacturing or construction industries.

Essential Functions

• Must be committed to working safely, following the company rules and helping identify opportunities for a safer workplace for everyone
• The work for this position includes operating stone cutting saws via computer interfaces, operating overhead cranes, packaging finished stone products for shipping, and general cleaning of work area.
• Must be able to work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity, decreasing downtime and waste
• Assume active role in overall shop-related work. Position requires assisting all jobs on the shop floor
• Work with a sense of urgency to reduce downtime of machines
• Follow all company safety rules
• Any other duties that may be assigned or required

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Must pass mandatory pre-employment drug test, physical, and criminal background check
• High school diploma / GED
• Strong ethics and integrity
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with masonry, carpentry or wood working a plus
• Machine operator experience a plus
• Forklift experience a plus
• Must have an openness to accept new techniques in product knowledge, training and problem solving
• Maintaining positive communication skills at all times.

Physical Requirements Of This Job:

• You will be expected to lift up to 50 pounds
• Bending, crouching, pushing and pulling will be required.

Environmental Conditions:

• Working in extreme weather conditions (hot and cold) in an indoor manufacturing facility

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
