What are the responsibilities and job description for the Unit Risk Manager position at Texas Department of Criminal Justice?
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
1. Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or
GED.
2. One year full-time, wage-earning experience in criminal justice,
risk management or a related field (e.g.. loss control, workers'
compensation, environmental science, occupational safety, or industrial
hygiene). Thirty semester hours from a college or university accredited
by an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education
Accreditation (CHEA) or by the United States Department of Education
USDE) to include six semester hours in a risk-management field may be
substituted for each year of experience on a year-for-year basis.
Successful completion of the Alternate Unit Risk Manager (AURM),
Collateral Duty Safety Officer (CDSO), or Occupational Safety Health
Administration (OSHA) certification programs preferred.
