GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Our mission at the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV) is to serve, protect and advance the citizens and industries in the state with quality motor vehicle related services. We are a dynamic state agency dedicated to customer service, consumer protection and the success of motor vehicle-related industries.
Performs entry-level to routine (journey-level) compliance analysis work. Work involves examining, evaluating, and monitoring records, programs, policies, documents, and/or contracts to ensure conformity with laws, rules, and regulations; and conducting vetting, inspection and analysis activities. Works under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Handles customer inquiries related to the data contract process, including applications and contract execution.
- Performs and documents vetting activities related to contract applications.
- Maintains and updates data using an internal tracking system.
- Prepares documents for review by manager, division and department leadership.
- Performs compliance reviews to determine and document compliance with laws, rules and regulations.
- Identifies issues regarding compliance that require follow-up.
- Assists with preparing reports related to the status of data contract applications and data contracts.
- Requests information from contract holders to facilitate compliance and audit functions.
- Corresponds with existing and potential customers on a variety of matters related to data contracts.
- Collaborates with the Contract Unit manager to review processes, identify concerns, and foster ongoing workflow efficiencies.
- Performs activities to achieve compliance resolution, which may include written or oral correspondence, cross-division collaboration, or collection and analysis of information submitted in response to compliance issues.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Must be highly organized, possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate attention to detail.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Graduation from high school or the U.S. equivalency thereof is required.
Experience
- One (1) year of relevant work experience in contract monitoring or compliance, audit, program or project support, data analysis, research and analysis, budget/accounting, or related activities is required.
- Working knowledge with Excel or related spreadsheet software, the Adobe Suite programs, Microsoft Access or related database software and SharePoint or related content and knowledge management software is required.
Substitution Note: Additional work experience of the type described may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This position is 100% telework. The selected candidate must be available to work onsite in Austin, Texas at 4000 Jackson Avenue on an as-needed basis.

REGISTRATION, CERTIFICATION AND/OR LICENSURE
A valid Class "C" driver's license is required. If not currently a Texas resident, must obtain a Texas Driver's License within ninety (90) days after entering Texas as a new resident. A satisfactory driving record is required for operating state or personal vehicles to conduct department business.
