Your Role as a Buyer
As a crucial member of our team, you will:
- Monitor inventory levels and trends, make purchasing decisions, and suggest POs.
- Build and maintain supplier relationships; negotiate prices, terms, and shipment times with suppliers; provide feedback on product packaging.
- Act as a liaison between the sales team and suppliers; develop plans to manage slow-selling products.
- Support the sales team with extensive product knowledge.
- Maintain accurate product files in Agility.
What You Bring to the Table
- A bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3 years purchasing and demand planning capacity, preferably in building products or a related industry.
- Experience negotiating pricing and terms.
- Highly knowledgeable in demand planning, purchasing systems and parameters
- Familiarity with ERP systems, such as Agility (preferred).
- A commitment to safety and professionalism (pre-employment drug test required).
