Job Summary
The Medical Call Center Representative is responsible for providing excellent customer service. This includes answering and transferring incoming calls, scheduling appointments, and resolving patient inquiries and concerns.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Answer incoming calls professionally and courteously.
- Schedule appointments for patients with healthcare providers.
- Respond to emails that arrive using our general office email address.
- Resolve patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all interactions.
- Process patient payments and collect co-payments.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and company policies.
- Triage incoming phone calls.

Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a call center or customer service environment.
- Experience working in a medical office setting is preferred, but not required.
- Experience with athenahealth EMR software is strongly preferred.
Language Ability
- Bilingual - English and Spanish.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to patients, vendors, and employees of the organization.
Computer Skills
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook email

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
