Responsibilities
- Operate press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal according to specifications.
- Set up, program, and adjust the machine settings based on the required specifications.
- Perform quality inspections on finished products to ensure they meet design specifications.
- Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations during the production process.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery, including cleaning and lubricating components.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints, applying GD&T principles as necessary.
- Assist in laser cutting operations when required, ensuring seamless production flow.
- Utilize measuring devices such as micrometers and angle measurement tools to verify dimensions of finished parts.
- May perform extra shop duties as required.
- Seeking operators that could be spread across potential multiple shifts.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating press brake machines is required.
- Familiarity with milling machines, CNC operations, and laser cutting is preferred.
- Experience working with sheet metal and understanding of quality inspection processes.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) is a plus.
- Strong basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings effectively.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Knowledge of a Delem 66T Controller is preferred.
- Previous welding experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
