Treatment Director

Position Purpose

The Treatment Director oversees the treatment foster care program and clinical staff to ensure the highest clinical standards of care. This role provides strategic management and direct clinical services across the agency’s Foster Care Program as directed by the Senior Vice President of Clinical and Assessment Services.

Key Responsibilities

• Program Oversight:
  
  • Manage the clinical operations of the treatment foster care program.
  • Maintain clinical responsibility for therapeutic interventions provided to children in agency foster homes.
• Treatment Management:
  
  • Review and approve treatment plans for clients requiring clinical interventions.
  • Provide input and approval for discharge decisions and aftercare services for applicable service packages.
• Policy & Compliance:
  
  • Ensure all treatment foster care policies meet state, federal, and accreditation requirements.
  • Align agency operations with Board policies and directives from the Senior VP of Clinical and Assessment Services.
• Collaboration & Advocacy:
  
  • Develop family-centered, evidence-based practices in service delivery.
  • Advocate for cultural sensitivity and promote teamwork across the agency.
• Administrative Responsibilities:
  
  • Attend meetings, workshops, and forums to stay informed about psychological treatment needs and social services.
  • Develop and implement controls for accurate and timely information flow.
• Travel Requirements:
  
  • Travel occasionally for meetings, training, or business purposes. Must hold a valid driver’s license and meet agency insurance standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Directly supervise Clinical Services employees in alignment with agency policies and legal requirements.
• Responsibilities include hiring, training, performance appraisal, and addressing complaints or concerns.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• Clinical-level licensure required (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT).
• Experience with children, youth, and families facing developmental, substance abuse, or behavioral challenges.
• Valid driver’s license, and car insurance preferred.

Specialized Knowledge:

• Expertise in:
  • Case management, assessment, and treatment planning.
  • Treatment of abuse survivors and individuals with attachment disorders.
  • Trauma-informed care and crisis intervention.
  • Childhood development and the impacts of abuse/neglect.

Skills:

• Strong presentation, analytical, and financial skills.
• Ability to interpret technical, financial, and legal documents.
• Proficiency with computers and statistical concepts.

Principal Accountabilities

• Oversee daily operations of clinical services.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance program quality and service delivery.
• Regularly report program performance to the Senior VP of Clinical and Assessment Services.
