Job Summary :
Develops, maintains, and interacts with new prospects and existing customers to maintain and increase the company’s customer base and to achieve rental, sales, and service revenue goals. Establishes new accounts by marketing company product lines and offering value-added services.

Essential Functions :
Assists walk-in customers and callers with counter sales & technical supportDemonstrates products to customersDistributes promotional literature to customers and assists with sales and marketing initiatives to increase market shareFormulates bids on new and existing jobs and projectsIdentifies and acquires new service contract opportunitiesReceives customer orders and serves as the customer contact pointGenerates a referral network to assist in increasing the client baseOccasionally assists in familiarizing customers with equipment and vehiclesAids in implementing, sustaining, and developing quality improvement processes that focus on safety, financials, operations, and customer serviceMaintains records of sales or other business transactionsPrepare sales or other contractsPerforms other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Knowledge of applicable accounting principles, budget preparation, and business acumenDemonstrated knowledge of construction equipment and the rental industryDemonstrated knowledge of selling techniques (prospecting, overcoming objections, closing sales)Excellent selling, negotiating, and closing skills with the ability to build long-term business relationshipsProficient with MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.Understands the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-makingUses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problemsExceptional attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with multiple departments and various levels of the organizationFirst-class organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills, deadline-orientedUnderstands written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents, and communicates effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audienceAbility to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division quickly and accuratelyAbility to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timelinessAbility to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulationsThe ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentencesEducation and Experience :
A minimum of three years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required.
