Location: Denton, Texas
Job Type: Full-Time (approximately 25 hours a week)
Job Summary:
Texas Galaxy Cheer & Dance is seeking an experienced and dynamic Dance Director to lead our recreational and competitive dance program! We are a family-oriented studio dedicated to creating a positive and supportive environment where dancers of all ages can develop their skills and fall in love with dance. This leadership role is ideal for an organized and passionate individual who excels in team management, choreography approval, event planning, and communication. The Dance Director will oversee all dance coaches, ensure high-quality instruction, and foster a positive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage & Lead – Supervise, mentor, and support all dance coaches.
- Choreography Oversight – Review and approve class and competition choreography to maintain studio standards.
- Event Planning – Organize additional team bonding activities, studio events, and workshops.
- Fundraising Coordination – Develop and execute fundraising initiatives to support competition teams.
- Studio Communication – Maintain clear and professional communication with the Studio Administrative Director, staff, dancers, and parents.
- Competition & Performance Management – Ensure dancers are well-prepared for competitions and showcase events.
- Class & Schedule Coordination – Assist in scheduling classes and assigning instructors as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Dance Director, Head Coach, or Senior Instructor.
- Strong background in multiple dance styles, including Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, Jazz, Acrobatics, Tumbling and Hip Hop
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional organization and event-planning abilities.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with fundraising and community engagement is a plus.
