POSITION SUMMARY
We are actively seeking experienced operations manager, to oversee and enhance our processes within our waste and recycling facility. Operation managers work closely with the management team as well as equipment operators, recycling workers and other teams to ensure that our core values are upheld throughout our daily operation, as well as through all personnel. The operations manager is tasked with guiding and assisting all teams, while fostering a collabortive and efficient work environment, and constantly contributing to the overall achievements and resolution of challenges related to operational objectives.

OBJECTIVES
- Ensure compliance with safety and OSHA regulations by implementing measures to maintain a safe work enviroment.
- Facilitates clear communication channels to ensure effective coordination and collaborations amongst team members.
- Leads and shapes active engagement in daily safety meetings.
- Coordinating the daily work flow to ensure efficient and timely processing of waste and commodities.
- Provides effective leadership and support to ensure cohesive and high performance teams.
- Overseeing the operation and maintenance of trucks and heavy equipment.
- Addresses and resolves issues that may arise during daily operations. While implementing procedures to minimize consistent problems.
- Coordinates and provides proper training to teams on safety protocols and equipment operations.
- Creates and generates reports on KPI illustrating operational performance, process material rate and other relevant metrics for management review.
- Resource allocation: Efficiently allocating personal, equipment and resources to optimize processes.
COMPETENCIES
- Ability to lead and inspire a team toward safe and operational excellence.
- Exhibits a strong knowledge in safety and OSHA regulations. Including implementation of maintaining a secure work environment.
- Understanding and proficiency in heavy equipment including but not limited to operation and maintenance.
- Demonstrates a strong knowledge of small engine operations and maintenance. (ie Lawn mower, pressure washer, etc.)
- Can identify and make use of basic tools. (ie. Hammer, drill, impact, DOT chain ect.)
- Capacity to identify and resolve challenges.
- Capability to train and develop team members on procedures and safety measures.
- Proactive approach in identifying opportunities for improvement in process, operations and personal optimization.
- Maintains positive relationships with customers and vendors.
- Analytical skills in creating/ monitoring KPIs and operating reports.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 4 years of experience in leading teams of 25 or more.
- Military or first responder experience is a plus.
- Experience in the waste or recycling industry is an extreme plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Able to climb staircases and ladders.
- Able to lift 25 lbs or more.
- Capable of standing for long periods of time.
- Can withstand extreme heat, cold and wetness.
