Home Health Manager II – Starting Market Rate Salary $89,692.85
Under the supervision of the Regional Director/Assistant Regional Director supervises regional team members/team coordinators (Nurses and Surveyors) in conducting certification surveys, licensure inspections, and investigations, including investigations of abuse, neglect, or exploitation, in Home Health and Hospice Agencies to determine compliance with state and federal laws, regulations, and rules. Participates as an active member of the Regional Management Team. Ensure timeframes/data entry deadlines are met for all visits. Coordinates the activities and the department resources for a Home and Community Support Services unit to meet program goals. Assists Regional Director/Assistant Regional Director in performing administrative tasks as assigned. This position requires local and occasional statewide travel.

Supervises unit/staff including planning work schedules, monitoring output, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
Evaluates program, procedures, or processes for effectiveness through review (for example, reviews statistics, reports, operations, findings, case readings, surveys, quality assurance activities, performance measures, best practices) and reports results or makes recommendations to resolve issues or improve performance.
Tracks, monitors, plans, coordinates, or schedules activities on a complex level to ensure deadlines or requirements are met.
Serves a liaison for assigned area on complex issues with agency staff or outside entities. Plans, participates in, and monitors staff training.
Selects, manages, and develops staff through conferences, mentoring, training, and performance appraisal.
Testifies at hearings or in court proceedings to provide information regarding policy/procedures, history, findings, or activities.
Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (KSAs)
Knowledge of specialized program areas in Long-Term Care Regulatory such as Home Health and Hospice.
Ability to perform supervisory, managerial, or professional work.
Knowledge of and ability to monitor compliance with policies and procedures.
Knowledge of and ability to interpret local, state, and federal laws and regulations relevant to program area.
Knowledge of applicable agency program policy and monitoring systems.
Skilled in developing guidelines, procedures, rules, and regulations.
Skill in problem solving and decision making.
Skill in building and maintaining effective work relationships.
Ability to work as a member of a management team.
Ability to organize workloads and set priorities to meet deadlines.

Registrations, Licensure Requirements Or Certifications
The applicant must successfully complete all training (federal/state) and any testing following training within one year of the hire date.
Initial Screening Criteria
Experience with Home Health or Hospice agencies.
Minimum of 2 years experience performing supervisory, managerial, or professional work.
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in a field relevant to the assignment preferred. Experience and education may be substituted for one another on a year-by-year basis up to four years.
Additional Information
Must be able to work hours other than 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, as necessary. Ability to travel occasionally (i.e., quarterly) for activities such as out-of-town meetings or training sessions. The job requires 35% travel, with most travel during the day. However, some overnight and weekend travel is required, as well as occasional on-call duties for emergencies or high-priority situations in facilities. Must have reliable transportation.
Note: This position is able to work a compressed workweek of four 10-hour days.
